Love & so Many Laugh …

Abby & Ben are two people that were just meant to be together. They compliment each other, can’t stop smiling when they see each other and have so much passion for each other. These two had a great wedding party too – they were there to help them any way they needed, you will hear me say this over and over. Who you choose for your wedding party is SO important. They can make or break your stress level on your wedding day. An amazing wedding party is filled with your dearest friends – the people you love being around.

Get to know these two and you two will want to be friends with them!

How did they meet?

Ben’s sister was my best friend in high school. He and i used to pass notes during school, then during sleepovers I would sneak up to his room after his sister fell asleep. (Sneaky sneaky 🙂

How did Ben propose?

We had plans for dinner and a movie after I got done with work. He came to pick me up from work wearing a full suit, which made me feel under-dressed in jeans. During dinner, Ben kept talking about his dog and how she had been naughty and had gotten into the trash, so as punishment he had dressed her up and taken pictures of her.

After dinner we had a few hours before the movie started, so we went back to his place so he could change out of his suit. While he was doing so, he asked me to look at the pictures of his dog. In the middle of all of the adorable pictures of the dog in Ben’s clothes, was a picture of Ben holding a sign that said “Abby, I’m sorry but I couldn’t wait another moment…” and when I turned around he was down on one knee with a ring. All I could do was stare at him grinning like an idiot for a few minutes until I remembered to put him out of his misery and say yes!

Abby what do you love most about your husband?

I love his smile when he looks at me, and that he just as as weird as I am.

Ben, what do you love most about your wife?

Everything! 🙂

What would your perfect Sunday look like?

A quiet sunny day spent hiking on the bluffs, or kayaking. OR a rainy day snuggling up with Netflix.

What memory stands out most on your wedding day?

When I think of the wedding day, the first thing I remember was turning down the aisle just as Ben turned around and we both saw each other for the first time that day. I may have teared up a bit, and Ben definitely had to suck the tears back up into his eyes.

What was the best part and the most challenging parts of planning your wedding day?

Best – Finding my dress was probably the best part, also the least stressful

The greatest challenge I had was stress, I felt that I had a million things left to do when in reality I had gotten all of the major things planned out in the first few months. I didn’t feel prepared for anything the day of the wedding, but I could have walked down that aisle in jeans and a t-shirt and as long as Ben was there waiting for me it wouldn’t have mattered.

What personal touches did you bring to your wedding day?Well Ben has this weird thing about dollar signs, so I put them on all of the flowers for the wedding, and even found dollar sign cuff-links for him. Then for our cake topper, Ben and I love tree art, and I found a guy on etsy who makes tree art out of wire. So I had him make two weeping willow trees wrapping around each other for our topper.

What are you looking forward to most in your future together?

BABIES! We both love kids and can’at wait to start a family!

What advice do you have for couples planning their wedding day?

Find, and surround yourself with a wedding party who will help and support you. There is no better feeling when you are stressed to the max and one of your groomsmen texts you put of the blue asking if there is anything you need help with.

If you could have any superpower what would it be?

Shapeshifting, I love animals, and I’d get to fly, or breathe underwater, or be as big or small as I wanted.
Ben would be like his favorite superhero, Superman. “Who wouldn’t want x-ray vision and super strength?”

So, was I right? Don’t you just love these two? A wedding day was filled with so much love and laughs! The best people to hang out with on a beautiful wedding day!

Nick & Kelsey – Engagement in Houghton Michigan
We spent the whole day with these two before their Engagement Session in Houghton Michigan and it was far from boring! We scouted locations, saw where he proposed, had some delicious beer and pizza and tons of great laughs! When they first asked if I would travel up to Houghton Michigan I was like HECK YES! Justin and I LOVE the Northwoods & Lake Superior, and reason to head that way with a great couple I jump on it! These two met at college in Houghton, and this college sounded like the coolest ever! They had beach parties, a engineering building that was built in the wrong direction (ironic?), it kind of looked like Yale, and an awes ...

KATIE & PAUL | Rib Mountain Elopement Wausau WI
Wausau Wisconsin Elopement in the Fog Paul proposed to Katie on a weekend getaway in Milwaukee. Paul had planned to propose at the Lighthouse on Lake Michigan, but life had different plans. Along their walk, Katie got pooped on by a bird at the Rock Bottom Brewery (they LOVE their beer!). This diverted them to the museum - which Katie asked him to walk through with her. Afterwards, they continued their walk along Lake Michigan. At this point, they were really tired of walking, even though Paul wanted to keep going. Remember his original plan!? Having to plan a Plan B - they found a secluded bench looking out at the water - this is where h ...

One of the parts of a wedding that always makes me cry is - when the father gives away his daughter. Sometimes the Dad does something funny, or something special for his daughter.
