“Family: where life begins and love never ends.” – unknown

I got together with my cousin and his family for a last minute family session at Pope Farms Conservancy just outside of Madison Wisconsin. It was great to chat, dance and capture their beautiful family. A family with two smart and talented parents with equally talented and smart daughters. Seeing Pope Farms and the hundreds of Sunflowers for the first time together was an adventure. Together early all the way around the field, then up a heal to be surrounded by beautiful trees.

Seeing families love each other, hold hands and laugh from the belly. These are the reasons that I love my job. Being able to capture these moments is the most beautiful, bless filled and awesome reasons. Photographing families as a whole, no one is missing while taking the photo. The family is all together, laughing, making silly faces and being present. The reason I hear most from Mom’s who email me wanting family photos is – “I am always the one taking the photos, rarely ever in them” Family memories together, captured for generations of reliving this story.

Justin and I took a trip to see the Sunflowers the next day, because I needed Justin to see this place for himself. If you haven’t made it to this amazing place you need to! The Sunflowers are not hanging low, but the grounds around the field are still stunning! A fantastic place to take the family, go for a walk and even have a picnic!
