Double Header Weekend & The Charmant Hotel La Crosse Wisconsin

Last weekend Justin and I had a double header wedding weekend, with one wedding at Brighton Acres and the next in La Crosse Wisconsin. Yes, we pretty much went from one side of the state to the next 🙂 So, when we say we travel anywhere we mean it! It didn’t matter having to drive 3+ hours after working hard capturing beautiful wedding day images. This is how much we love our clients!

What made this even easier? A two night stay at the Charmant Hotel in La Crosse Wisconsin. I have heard nothing but good things about this place. So I jumped at the chance to relax when we were not working. When we arrived we had a few little technical difficulties with our room, but  we waiting patiently to get it worked out. Justin and I both know how things can happen and we were just happy with any room to lay our head. The mix up got us an upgrade for a night in a beautiful river view room. This beautiful room is where we enjoyed our first night and a relaxing morning with fresh brewed coffee from bed.

The Charmant Hotel knows how to make their guests feel loved and appreciated. When you first walk in they greet you with a smile no matter the time. At check in you get a complimentary chocolate – sea salt dark, one of my favorites! As a creative I couldn’t help but adore all the design of the building, along with their on point branding. Their branding was seriously on point, right down to the sleeve the key cards went into. The hotel was beautifully designed and all came back to their colors, branding and making their guests feel pampered. The soaps in the bathroom were divine too! The relaxing scent of the soap while you close you eyes and feel the water from the rainwater shower head on your face. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start another wedding day.

I am going to confess, I booked this hotel and splurged because I wanted to relax and give my all. My couples deserve nothing more than my very best. Photographing wedding back to back is not easy. Any photographer who tells you that it is, I am sorry to tell you is LYING! I love my job, do not get me wrong. But, weddings are stressful days. A day where we climb on chairs, stretch to get the shot, and walk like a ninja to hide in plane sight. My body is so tense on wedding days, the day that goes by so fast for the couple. A day that is filled with so many memories. Memories that they don’t get to see all of. Memories they want to relive, and the memories they will tell their children.

I will put my body through hell to ensure each couple gets the very best out of me. Because that is what they deserve! The soft bed at night softened the blow and geared my body up for an amazing day! Now, if you are looking for a place to stay in La Crosse you NEED to experience this amazing place!
