Gwen & Jeff – Devils Lake State Park Maternity Session

A couple months ago I put out a model call for a shoot I had coming up – and when these two contacted me I just KNEW I had to photograph them! They are newlyweds who are also expecting a new little one to their family. So I planned a shoot at Devil’s Lake State Park – a session that ended with getting into the water. How could you come here and NOT get in the water! Justin and I went the day before and drank a beer while sitting in the water. The lake is pure perfection!

This babe is already loved so deeply but two amazing parents so ready to meet him/her. These two are madly in love humans who found each other again, years after already knowing each other for years. Gwen has a beautiful soul with an infectious personality. She loves to laugh and be silly and make her man laugh. There was a rare moments that Jeff wasn’t smiling when looking at Gwen. We got in the water these two got lost in each other. These two wrapped their arms around each other and just breathed each other in.

Witnessing so much love and being able to freeze it so they can show their babe. There are so many couples out there that don’t think Maternity Sessions are important. I cannot believe this to be true. You love a little human before you get to meet them. Before they hold your finger in their tiny hand.  These moments before they are born are beautiful. Being able to show them the love they had for you before they saw your eyes. It’s simply beautiful. A beginning of a new adventurous story of you.

I cannot wait to meet the babe when he/she arrives in January! I am secretly hoping to share a birthday with what I KNOW is going to be an awesome kid! But sharing a birthday Month will do too 🙂
