Jay & Bee’s Stunning Backyard Wedding in a field of Wildflowers in Mt Horeb Wisconsin
These two booked us just 2 weeks before their wedding date! We met just a few days later to walk around the property they would be getting married in. As soon as I drove up the driveway I was in awe! This amazing property was surrounded by fields of wildflowers, a few beautiful willow trees, a stunning pond, and the center is a beautiful barnlike home. I may have asked a few times in the time meeting these amazing people if I could move in!
While riding around the property and seeing all the great places to do photos, I was in heaven! Seriously! So many hills, trees, water, and that light coming over the hill was dreamy! These are some of my favorite wedding party and family photos to date! All photos of family and wedding party should be taken at sunset! And the fact they got into a canoe in their wedding attire! They win the most rad wedding couple ever!
Now let’s get to know these two a bit better!
How did they meet?
We met as housemates during college. We spent our first year as housemates hiking, biking, exploring urban decay, and swing dancing.
Jay, what do you love most about Bee?
I love Bee’s courageous vulnerability and even-keeled nature.
Bee, what do you love most about Jay?
I love Jay’s sense of humor and her tenacity of will.
What would your perfect Sunday be together?
Sleeping in, Guatemalan breakfast, then going on a long hike with our dogs, Nico & Ellie.
What memory stands out most from your wedding day?
Our beagle Nico, stalling in the wedding aisle, and needing to be picked up and carried down the aisle.
What was the best party for planning your wedding day?
Our whole wedding crew working together to harvest flowers, arrange bouquets, & build our wedding arch.
YES, all those flowers were done by family and friends! Picked from various gardens and the field!
What personal touches did you add to make your wedding your own?
We harvested dahlias from a local grower and our whole wedding party worked together to make the centerpieces, the bouquet’s, the boutonnieres, corsages, and the bridal bouquet.

What are you looking forward to most in your future together?
When you’ve already lived together for 7 years, you look forward to watching your partner continue to grow.
