From the moment I first chatted with Kelsey and Sean, I could hear the love they have for each other. They met a Coe College they were both in and out of relationships but always came back to each other. There was something always pulling them together – that is called fate!
Seeing her amazing smile when she’s happy, it’s absolutely adorable. She has a smile that lights up a room and every time I see it I just want to melt.
What don’t I love about Sean?! I love how compassionate he is and how silly we are together. We are almost always laughing. It’s easy with him and always has been.
Our vows. We were almost literally blown away because of the weather but right as we began our vows, the sun began coming out. It was incredible!
Their wedding day was filled with a TON of weather! But they did NOT let it ruin their day! We let a mini monsoon roll through, wiped down the chairs and rolled with it. Even when it started to rain again during the ceremony – we all laughed. The family spoke of how the weather was like marriage – you take the good with the bad. (Isn’t that the truth!) Just as the ceremony was coming to the end, Mother Nature smiled down on them with some beautiful sunshine!
We were definitely the least prepared for the weather! We ended up not doing our sparkler send off, garter toss and bouquet toss. They are traditions that we ended up not doing because we wanted to enjoy the dance floor. We thought they were important but as the day went on, you realize how those traditions don’t always matter in the end. It’s about celebrating with family and friends the way you want.
Take a moment just the two of you throughout the night. The day goes by SO fast and you barely have time to take it all in because your hugging so many loved ones. We were fortunate to have a 40 minute drive to our reception by ourselves. It was perfect. Also, if you have an outdoor wedding, have a Plan B that you like almost as much as your Plant A. We had a Plan B but really weren’t thrilled about it but didn’t think we would have to worry. Boy were we wrong!
I don’t think the wedding day hit either of us until we began getting ready at the Vineyard. We both woke up feeling like it was any other day. Getting ready with our parties was so much fun and having them by our side made all the difference with our emotions. The weather definitely made it a bit more stressful but our family and friends bent over backwards to make sure we didn’t have to worry about anything. Our ceremony was perfect. It may not have felt that way weather wise but in our eyes, it was everything we had wished for and more. Truly felt magical and like a glimpse into what marriage is going to be like. Our reception was a BLAST! The dance floor was popping and we kept getting so many compliments about our vows and the ceremony. It was overwhelming to experience the amount of love we felt throughout the day.
Waking up as MR and MRS felt so right. We couldn’t stop smiling. Our emotions were at a high even the day after and we have never felt more exhausted in our lives but in such a fantastic way. It’s hard to describe the feeling. You have never felt so much love in one weekend like you do for your wedding… especially with our families. We are the luckiest couple to have the most loving and caring families in the world. We can’t wait for the rest of our lives together and to begin a family of our own.
