Third Ward Milwaukee Wisconsin Engagement
Matt & Alex have been together for 9 years, they are getting married on their 10th anniversary! How sweet is that!? They met during their freshman year of college when a mutual friend was in the hospital. Matt was so kind to drive a group of friends every day to visit their friend. On these drives, they really got to know one another, which came to going on a date! Little did Alex know, that Matt first saw her in the dorms and thought she was pretty cute and really wanted to get to know her!
Their first date went perfectly, but their second date was not as perfect! Alex accidentally flung rice at Matt. Alex is pretty sure if that would have happened at their first date there wouldn’t have been a second date. I beg to differ on this though 🙂 I think when you break the ice like that in your relationship early you get more comfortable with each other! Throughout their 9 years together they have traveled to Chicago, Niagra Falls, Apostle Islands and eating at my awesome friend’s restaurant in Wisconsin Dells, the High Rock Cafe!
When I asked them the places that meant a lot to them and they love spending time together. They love to cuddle on the couch with their adorable pup and venture in downtown Milwaukee. So we did TWO engagement sessions, one at their adorable home and pup – and the second in the Third Ward of Milwaukee. I am glad we did this because their pup is part of their family! It was just perfect to include him in their story! It was pretty chilly at their engagement, but we stopped along the Riverwalk at Colectivo for hot chocolate to warm up on the way back to our cars.
Justin and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding this November at The Landing 1841!
