Rad Photographers Retreat 2017 – Wisconsin Photographer Workshop

For Photographers

Wisconsin Photography Workshop & Wedding Retreat

And Intimate Learning Experience for Wedding & Portrait Photographers

I feel so passionately about this retreat and I can never put into words exactly how perfect it is for you if you are a photographer. I am going to fill you in on some of the frequently asked questions.

What exactly is the retreat?

The retreat is an amazing 4 days event filled with speakers, styled shoot and more! A workshop transformed, not only will you be learning from some of the best in the industry – but, you will be relaxing, making big goals while learning how to achieve them, confronting your fears and building an amazing tribe of new friends.

What is included in the $1450?

3 nights in a beautifully restored barn in Waupaca Wisconsin

all your meals – which include dinners styled and prepared with a personal chef

styled couples shoot lead by Emily Steffen

amazing sponsors like – Loktah, HoldFast, Dainty Obsession and more coming soon!

4 amazing speakers / Emily Steffen, Laura Ivanova, Angela Scheffer @ Saffron Avenue, and Christine Dopp @ Natural Intuition Photography (if you would take one on one mentoring from any of these speakers, you’d be paying well over $1,000 each – to be able to learn from all of them in one spot for less than $4,000 is freaking amazing!)

yoga

chair massage

hair and Make up before you get your new headshots photographed

everything above – and so much more! You will leave feeling refreshed and ready to take on your goals head on!

Who is the retreat for?

For those who are already on the road to a photography business. For Photographers who are looking to build and grow their business to the next level. Those who are in need of some serious relaxation and creative jump.

A retreat like this is meant to learn from each other AND the speakers. The best part of any workshop or retreat I have attended is that I met, talked and learned from other attendees. Relax on the couch with a glass of wine, wrapped in a blanket and have conversations with amazing women like you.

Everyone has fears, goals bigger than themselves and not sure how to conquer them or take the first step. This retreat will help you jump with both feet towards that dream you have for yourself and business.  Believing fully in Community over Competition, lift each other up and grow together.

This is also for those who are interested to learn more about film – Emily and Laura are both amazing film and hybrid photographers. Both, published multiple times and love to help others explore the film world.

What will be covered during the 4 days?

Marketing, social media, how to use natural light ANYWHERE, film, how to get published, business, client experience, posing … NOTHING is off limits. We all struggle with life and work balance, how to attract the right clients and how to give those clients the best experience ever! Along, with how to keep yourself creative during those crazy times of year – when you just don’t want to pick up that camera anymore.

We will tackle all the good and bad that come with owning and running a photography business. The speakers will be there after their aloted time to talk one on one – to ask the question you were too afraid to ask in the group setting.

Wanting to do a styled shoot but don’t know where to start – we will be discussing how to do this, from beginning to end.

Why I Keep Up Old Photos
I have been working on making my social media voice more to my current brand and I always wonder : Should I take down the photos I posted when I first started photography?  The answer always comes back - Heck no! I want to remind myself how far I have come and how much I have learned. Just because I have those photos backed up on drives and DVD's, and that some of them are quite embarrassing, isn't a good enough reason for me to delete them. I look through those photos almost weekly as a reminder of how far I have come. We all start somewhere and no one is amazing right out of the gate - and for those of you who are rock on! But, I am no ...

Devil's Lake Relaxation | Baraboo Wisconsin For some reason, this year has been a lot of me struggling with wanting to do more. More relaxation with Justin, more hiking, more cookouts, more time with friends & family, more work, photographing as much as possible, trying to make a movement with Rad Photographers Retreat just more. I also find myself scrolling through social media and seeing others doing more - I am not comparing really, just feel like I am falling behind. I know others feel this - so I am writing this blog to ensure them, YOU, that you're not alone in this feeling. Yesterday I got this massive feeling of regret and dre ...

Website & Complete NEW Brand LAUNCH DAY!
As everyone was watching the Oscars I was up late, drinking some Whiskey and gearing up for one of the biggest launches to date! I started my own re-brand in 2015 - yes you read that right! I did my own re-brand. Why? Weeellll.... It was because I went to school for Interior Design and LOVE the design side of my business. Oh, and because I didn't have the money to pay a designer to do all the changes, and looks that I wanted to have on my website. Also, I love to make changes when I want to make them and do it myself, AND I know how to do it - and don't have to pay hundreds to change it. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE designers and I know ...
