One of my favorite parts of the Holidays is getting the tree! Growing up we always went to the same place, Yeska Tree Farm near Wild Rose WI. So when it came time for Justin and I get a tree near us, we were lost. But when someone told us about a tree farm near Lake Du Bay, that didn’t use harmful pesticides and didn’t trim to make the “prefect” tree we were in! So for the 3rd year, 2nd year in a row we headed to Pheasant Pines in Mosinee. Justin always picks a tree that is close, but I always want to keep looking – so we end up getting a tree that is the farthest away. Justin is a trooper each time, being patient for me to find just the right tree. I always want to go for the Charlie Brown tree, I just love how imperfect they are. Justin loves the long needled tree’s, but I think they are too round. So this year we found one that is perfectly imperfect! It has little gaps, crooked, and fell in our house THREE TIMES!Yes it fell three time, had to re-decorate it three times, and broke 2 bulbs. But I seriously love this tree, when it’s lit it lights up the apartment with Holiday Cheer! (I will be sharing a photo of this soon – when I get the whole apartment decorated) But right now the living room floor is covered in deliveries for clients!

Have you gotten your tree yet? I would love to see photos! Email or post them to my Facebook wall!

With Love and Holiday Cheer – Justin and Christine

Looks like a scotch pine you picked; my tree of choice is a Balsam Fir, but they are harder to find the further I get from home. Looks like a nice tree and glad you gave it a nice home.

Wanderlust is in Our Blood
Travel is our Life! It didn't really hit Justin and I that we travel so much until a bridesmaid mentioned something! While our Bride was introducing us to everyone, one of the bridesmaids mentioned that they follow us on Instagram that she sees us all over. So far this year we have traveled over 7000 miles. These miles have been mainly Wisconsin - which is SUPER easy to do! We are adding a few plane rides to these miles! I just flew a couple weeks ago to Washington State for the Cascade Workshop. Now Justin and I are leaving for Washington State again for a road-trip to San Fransisco for 2 weeks! Two amazing weeks of hiking, camping, and ...

Confession Friday // How I stay creative during the crazy season
"The world is but a canvas to our imagination." ~Henry David Thoreau I hear it all the time from friends, the feeling of being burnt out. As a creative we get exhausted when we have to constantly be thinking of something new and exciting .  I want to make every wedding and session different than the last, even though I have my go to's and favorites I want them to think and know they are getting the very best. Every wedding is different, every family is different, we all have our own personalities and I want o express that with every click of the camera. Trust me I am not perfect, but this year I did a few certain things to stay creative ...
