I first talked with Whitney over a Skype call with no picture, we talked about family, her life in Haiti, and her love for a man. We talked about how she couldn’t wait for him to pop the question, little did she know that a few days after our session Hisham got down on one knee and asked her to be by his side forever. These two make my heart happy every time I think about their story and love.

During their whole session I could see it on their faces, especially Hisham’s. Every time he hugged her he got this loved filled grin on his face. There were a few times I told Whitney I wish she could see the look on his face, and how happy he was. I hope these photographs are a reminder to both of them that they have a beautiful love for each other.

Whitney and Hisham won the photo of the year contest and they are getting $100 to spend on Natural Intuition Products! Whoohoo!!! What a great engagement gift!

Pope Farm Conservancy Madison WI Engagement When we chatted about their engagement session we could have gone to all the iconic Madison locations, but we all thought it would be awesome to go somewhere different. You've been warned :) I am going to let them tell their rad story of how they've met: We met unexpectedly on spring break in Flori ...

Photographers Life // Sunday Hangovers
What they don't tell you about Wedding Photography No, I am not talking about the I had too much to drink kind of hangover ... I am talking about the I had too much fun dancing and photographing amazing people hangover. Wedding Day's are so much freaking fun, but they are also hard on one's brain, feet, and whole body. As a photographer, we sometimes don't get to sit down at all during the wedding except for a few minutes at dinner or during transportation from one place to the other. I am constantly thinking, evaluating and being as ninja as I can at every wedding. This is all why I try to not schedule meetings, early session, and back t ...
