Just Me

?// for some reason my video no longer works// but the below words are still true!

So two HUGE goals of mine this year is to show more of me on the blog – the real me. AND to let the extrovert in me out – she has been wanting to come out for sometime. Why now? Why this year? Well, it’s because I am done being afraid, tired of what people think of me. Tired of worrying about the judgements from others while they read my blog. Will there be people that read my blog, and say “her blogs are non sense” “what is she doing trying to blog?” The blog for me is something that I can share – my dreams, show off my awesome clients, and let you all in on who I really am. In today’s world we hide behind phone screen, social media, we don’t get out enough and experience the world. There is so much that I want to accomplish this year, and I am going for it! No matter what, if I fail then I fail. But, not doing something because you are scared is already failing. I would rather know for sure then never know at all, you might surprise yourself.

So one night on my way to my parents house to visit two of my sisters I made a little Instagram video for my 400 some followers on there. It didn’t get very many likes, but you know what that is OK. If I got a few people to smile or laugh that is alright with me. The video is of me dancing in my car while lip singing. (Note – I was not driving, I pulled over to the side of the road.) Why did I do this video? Because I wanted to show people, I am a dork, I dance in the car and I love to sing to the radio (even though I am horribly off key!).

I am not perfect, I don’t get my nails done, my hair is usually up in a ponytail with a headband to cover the fact I didn’t wash it, I work on the couch while cuddling my fur babies, and I randomly dance in public. I love to laugh, even if it is at my own jokes and at myself when I run into walls and trip over something/anything at all. (I have bruises to prove I run into just about everything!) I wish everyday for a kinder world, one where people are not made fun of for wearing the wrong colored pants with the wrong shirt, or their new hairstyle they just don’t understand, or for driving the wrong car, or your different race, or they believe in something you don’t, or just saying the wrong thing. I could keep going – be you, because you are pretty awesome!

We are all humans, we should treat each other respect. Hug a stranger today, buy them a coffee or just smile. A simple act of kindness can brighten someones day.

I hope my video brought you a smile, and I wish you a happy and fun weekend!

With Love – Christine

Confession Friday / Camping
Camping, hiking, filling my life with a little adventure. This is something I swore I would do more this year, and in a way I have. I have pushed myself to try to new things, Justin and I went on two working vacations that were FILLED with adventure. This weekend we are going camping and unplugging from the world. Hiking and seeing waterfalls while cooking dinner over the fire and camping under the stars. I was like a little girl in a candy store when our new sleeping bags came in the mail! I almost slept in mine when they arrived! They are sure to keep us warm on the North Shore of Minnesota! I don't know if I can really express how much ...
Destination Wedding & Portrait Photographer / Who We Are
When Justin and I traveled to Colorado we got together with an awesome videographer out of Colorado Springs - Micheal hiked trails with us and even work up at 4am to meet us on top a mountain for some earlier morning photos. Why did we do all this? We want to share with the world the love we have for each other and the love we have for adventure and capturing moments in time with adventurous people. I have been wanting to make a video showing the world who we are as a couple and as photographers. This business is ran by me, but photographed as a couple. We work together at every wedding and most sessions to capture memories for amazing peo ...
Confession Friday // How I stay creative during the crazy season
"The world is but a canvas to our imagination." ~Henry David Thoreau I hear it all the time from friends, the feeling of being burnt out. As a creative we get exhausted when we have to constantly be thinking of something new and exciting .  I want to make every wedding and session different than the last, even though I have my go to's and favorites I want them to think and know they are getting the very best. Every wedding is different, every family is different, we all have our own personalities and I want o express that with every click of the camera. Trust me I am not perfect, but this year I did a few certain things to stay creative ...
