We are Christine & Justin!
Wisconsin Elopement Photographers who believe your wedding day & photographs should be filled with your personalities!
Abigail and Robert’s wedding was an elegant black-tie affair on the Lake in Green Lake Wisconsin. The Heidel House is an amazing venue right on the lake that we have been dying to return to! These two were surrounded by their dearest friends while they read their own vows to each other then danced the night away!
The day couldn’t have been dampered by the heat, humidity or the bugs! We all may have been sweating out butt off while swatting at bugs – but we are beaming from ear to ear! Along with Abigail’s elegant backless wedding gown that went beautifully with Roberts black tie suit. Each bridesmaid picked out their own dress that fit their style and personality. Each one just as stunning as the next! I LOVE that this trend is becoming more and more a thing for wedding days! It’s a great way to ensure that your wedding party LOVES what they are wearing!
On December 31st, 2013 we met each other for the first time. We truly met when we least expected it, and when we needed each other most. By the summer of 2014, we started travelling between Naperville and Milwaukee every weekend to see each other. That same year, when the leaves started turning, we said “I love you.”
From the Milwaukee shoreline to the Chicago city lights, Rob and I started our history together. We are so excited to continue creating our most cherished memories with the people dearest to us when we exchange our vows and celebrate our union. 2018 is going to be a great year! Favorite Trip: Savannah Georgia Proposal: Green Lake Conference Center, Rob proposed to me on the water and then our families threw us an amazing engagement party
He took me to the green lake conference center, where I took him the first time he visited my family in green lake.
His unrelenting loyalty and unconditional love for me and those closest to him
Aside from being beautiful, she has a warm and kind soul. She cares deeply for others and I love that about her.
Sleeping in, making fresh ground coffee and walking around our neighborhood. Getting out to the lake or taking a trip to another part of the city is also ideal on any day of the week.
The ceremony, exchanging our vows and the exchanging of the rings
The payoff of seeing all the people we love in one place and enjoying themselves.
The night before our wedding we had our rehearsal dinner at Abbys parents house. It was magical and such a great way to start the wedding weekend. 60 of our closest family members and friends were there and we shared wonderful food, wine and conversation together. Rob spent the rest of the evening at the Heidel House with other people in town for the wedding and I stayed at home with my mom, dad and sister.
Rob and I had days filled with preparation, nerves and excitement the day of the wedding and saw each other for the first time as I walked down the aisle to Dream a Little Dream of Me by Ella Firzgerald.
The sheer amount of details that come with planning such a large event and the pressure to finalize everything the month beforehand. I think we felt least prepared for how fast the day goes! After all the planning and preparation, the day truly flys by.
The location, where Abby grew up. Wisconsin beer, cake pops and cupcakes instead of a traditional cake. We also tried to being the outside in, so to speak, with our decor. Our ceremony included readings by our mothers and our officiant is a close member of the family as well. It was important to us to have influential women and men in our lives as integral parts of the ceremony and wedding celebration.
Continuing to grow together, through happy times and difficult times, and building our lives together as partners and a family.
Stick with your gut, try to make decisions that reflect you as a couple and that fit with who you are. Its so easy to get caught up in what we “should do” with something as important as our wedding. The things that Rob and I decided that were based in who we are and what we like, turned out to be what our guests complimented us the most on.
Flight, to travel as often as possible and as efficiently as possible. Also, it would give us the time we normally spend in transit doing other things we value.
Great! It was really easy working with you both. Communication was clear and consistent the entire year and you made us feel comfortable in front of the camera.
The best part of working with you was the wedding day. You didn’t make us feel like we had to leave the celebration at all. We were able to celebrate and get pictures taken in a candid fashion which is what we wanted! Thanks for that! (you are SOOO welcome!)
