Jamie & Nate / Lakeside Elopement Waupaca Wisconsin

When Jamie first contacted me about her Elopement I was booked for their date. After many emails, the date was changed and I was able to photograph this intimate elopement. This wedding was 8 years in the making, and just their style. With a wedding dress bought on Craigslist that fit like a glove to a last minute lake home change. This wedding was exactly what they wanted. And with less than 20 people in attendance, including the bride and the groom. I was able to photograph EVERYONE at the wedding in one photo! I have never been able to do that! Without standing on a chair and it taking more than 15 minutes to set up. Jamie and Nate have a dog they really wanted part of their day, so she was the ring bearer – and did a fabulous job!

The setting for the wedding was on the Chain O’Lakes in Waupaca, Wisconsin. One of the most beautiful sets of lakes in Wisconsin, in my opinion. It was the perfect location for these two to promise their lives together. This was my first elopement to photograph, and I wish I could do this everyday. Elopements aren’t about the details – it’s about the love, family and a marriage to one another. So awesome!

After the super quick ceremony we went just about a mile down the road to a field I have been DYING to photograph someone in. This field was filled with the most beautiful light, and these two were awesome to walk in the almost waist high grass. This portraits are some of my favorite of the year! This is what happens when fate puts people into your lives and all the right things come together. These two even invited me out for dinner and a few drinks; but I took the rare time to watch my nephew play football for the first time.
