There is not enough words to express how much fun this family was during their engagement session in Downtown Madison and Olin Park ! There were so many laughs, bad jokes ( mine ), and dancing to be had. Even a little chasing from Justin to keep Ellie having fun while I photographed Jenna and Ben. When they first told me that they were thinking of Madison for their engagement session – I was OVERJOYED ! Some place I have never really gotten the chance to explore – YAY !
Jenna and Ben have AMAZING style ! With ever outfit change – they both looked AMAZING ! LOVED Jenna’s blue suede heels, that Ben actually picked out and bought for her ! A man with style, and knows how much us ladies love shoes ! He is a keeper or sure Jenna ! And confessed to the couple that the way Justin remembers them (before spending the day with them) is her heels – yep I even have a man that notices shoes ! We both seem to have keepers !
All of us roamed around downtown, but first we started with a glass of wine at The Old-fashioned ! And may I tell you if you have not gone there and eaten or at least had a beer – YOU NEED TO ! They are amazing people that allowed me to go to their upstairs dining room during St Patrick’s Holiday weekend, so we could have the space to ourselves. I didn’t even know about it till I emailed and asked them about using the restaurant as a location for this session. It had amazing light and beautiful banners lining the ceiling, which made for the photos to be even more amazing ! I am ever so thankful for the employees of the Old-Fashioned !
The couple requested this shot – they wanted something capturing their love for the wonderful city of Madision – we went out on the ice and captured it in the background – I personally love little Ellie and the balloons : )Ellie likes to run – she ran when she could so these photos are perfect for her, and and the end she made a wish and set the red one free. It was such a great wish the balloon got stuck in the tree !
Again a special thanks to the Old Fashioned in Downtown Madison for the use of their up stairs dining room !
