You may have seen a previous blog about this particular elopement, but I wanted to revisited & re-edit.
Mountains to me are a place that I feel at peace, I feel all my problems disappear, I feel like I can conquer anything, I am home. I have hiked/climbed 2 mountains in Alaska and multiple smaller ones in various parts of the country. I strive for adventure and crave couples were are filled with adventure in their hearts. I loved my trip to Lutsen Mountain near The North Shore in Minnesota. It was one of my most relaxing drives, and I could feel my heart lift when I saw hills, a lake that was like a ocean and beautiful waterfalls just a shore walk away.
As I scouted out locations to shoot this amazing couple I stopped at a rest area that was just steps from the water. I walked along the rocky shore, sat on a large rock and just took in the calmness of water. The sky reflected off perfectly, you should see every cloud in the clear blue water. I didn’t want to leave this spot, but I was so excited to photograph a beautiful couple at an amazing location!
The day of the elopement we all woke up so excited to get the day going and put all the details that we have all been swooning over together. We packed up tiny gondola’s and ourselves and traveled up a beautiful mountain with a 360 degree beautiful view! Even though it was a hot sticky day and the breeze was welcomed – we also love the wind for the dramatic movement. The ladies of Woven and Wed along side Collected Rentals put together a beautiful sweetheart table where Gloria and Walter toasted to their amazing new adventure! They helped bring the Pacific Northwest to the Midwest with deep colors and classic style. The flowers that Saffron and Grey brought and put together were absolutely amazing, I wanted to take all them home with me so I could smell them all the way home. Oh my gosh don’t even get me started on the delicious deserts by As Sweet It Is Bakery – that cake was both beautiful and delicious! When the bride arrived in her beautiful Truvelle gown from A&be Bridal, my heart skipped a beat.
Adventurous hearts and beautiful people in an amazing setting a love story in the Midwest Mountains
