Winter Engagement Session on Family Tree Farm
I grew up in the same town as Nicole and we bought trees from her family for years! Nicole met Matt while she was working and living in Washington DC. Nicole took the initiative and wrote her number down on a napkin in a restaurant and gave it to Matt. Matt then texted 15 minutes later! This is pre Tinder and totally Old School! I love how romantic this is! Who does this nowadays!?
Matt knew just two months into dating that he loved Nicole, and wanted to marry her. They drive fourteen hours to Maine (from Washington DC) to one of Matt’s friend’s wedding. When they got there Nicole found out that Matt forgot to book a hotel room – they were homeless in Maine. Instead of running away, Nicole decided she loves him anyway!
We had very limited time to set up an engagement session while they were home for the Holidays. We met at Nicole’s family home and traveled down the road a bit to their family tree farm. The day couldn’t have been any better either, beautiful Winter sun beamed down! The sun didn’t do much for warmth though! We were freezing the whole time! But, we warmed up with hot coffee and a warm blanket!
I cannot wait till their June wedding in a beautiful barn this coming June!
