aI first met these two one and half years ago when they were planning a two part wedding, things didn’t come together the way they planned then but I have to say things happen for a reason. Their wedding day may have started out a nasty storm that blew through Milwaukee, but that didn’t stop them at all! As family and friends visited with each other, and the ladies had champagne, we all watched as the storm flew by. After the storm passed the most beautiful sunlight came shinning down on us all. As the sun came out everyone quickly put together the ceremony and reception site, it didn’t even look like it was earlier draped with plastic and poured on. It was stunning! The said their own vows in front of a beautiful wooden wall built by the groom. They made sure to make their son a part of their day with a very special moment after the vows – it was a moment that made everyone’s hearts swell with joy.
The reception was set in the garden with spots filling in where the plants were not with amazing people enjoying a meal hand picked by the groom, toasted with drinks served by a friend of the couple. I got to steal the couple away for just a few moments for some portraits at an abandoned house for an awesome urban feel. It was out of the box for me, and I was in creative heaven! As they danced to their first dance as husband and wife under twinkling lights and beautiful light as the sun set behind them. If you are thinking of having an outdoor venue, I HIGHLY suggest that you dance under the light of a setting sun – it is so dreamy and romantic.
Thank you for having me on your beautiful day!
with love – christine
