Sarah and Troy wanted a low key wedding surrounded by their favorite people. Along with it being set where they met! This was a totally out of the box wedding, and was there for it! We love when couples make their wedding 100% them! Throwing tradition and bridal books out the window, showcasing who they are as a couple!

Sarah, what do you love most about Troy?

His fun-loving spirit, his immense generosity, his calming demeanor and is a great listener. He knows how to make me feel needed, wanted and completely loved.

Troy, what do you love most about Sarah?

Sarah is so thoughtful and goes above and beyond in everything she does. She makes me want to continue to improve as a person.

The best part about planning your wedding day?

Cookie tasting! C. Adams Bakery in the Public Market was fantastic to work with and their cookies are delicious.

In your own words, describe your wedding day up to waking up MARRIED?

The whole night and day leading up to the wedding was pretty relaxed. We did some last-minute set up the morning of and then Troy went for his daily run; Sarah went to breakfast with her mom and sisters and then went to the salon to get ready. Once the photographs and event started with guests starting to arrive, it really went by in a whirlwind!

Christine and Justin made sure we took one moment to ourselves right after the ceremony to reflect on the fact that we’re finally married! And then we mixed and mingled with the guests for the rest of the evening. The next morning we woke up in wedded bliss and went to get brunch just the two of us.

Biggest challenge in planning your wedding day?

Initially, the greatest challenge was the relatively short planning timeframe as other summer weddings had likely been planned a year or more in advance, but at the same time, it required us to make swift decisions and eased some stress in over-thinking anything.

What were your personal vows?

We took bits and pieces from inspiration we found online:

I take you today as my partner / my equal and my other half. / I promise to encourage you and inspire you, / to laugh with you in the good times / and to comfort you in the bad times, / when life seems easy / and when life seems hard / when our love is simple and when it is more difficult. / I promise to love and cherish you today / and all the days of my life.

What is your advice to couples planning their wedding day?

The biggest thing would be to trust your intuition and don’t overthink all the parts of the planning process. It’s easy to get overwhelmed and perhaps go overboard, but if you have a vision at the beginning, just stick with that vision and everything will work out as it should.

What was your overall experience with Natural Intuition Photography?

We were so excited to work with Christine and Justin! They came recommended from a few other photographers and had the exact style of photos we were looking for. The best part of working with them was how organized they were leading up to the day (we knew we had nothing to worry about) and how unshakable they were the day of—they were both a calming presence and allowed the day to flow very naturally.
