I first met Kelly & Nick just three weeks before their wedding date, they planned this fabulous wedding in just SIX weeks! Yes, you read that right – SIX WEEKS! Kelly is an amazing designer who put her skills to work on her wedding day. A wedding day that was classic and beautiful – and oh so much fun! They invited their very closest family and friends for an intimate wedding at the UW Arboretum. A beautiful backdrop for their day. It was misting all day, but they weren’t going to let that stop them from getting married.
Umbrellas and blankets were available for all guests, so they could stay dry and warm. No one complained one bit, all that really mattered to everyone is the love that was happening. They didn’t have a wedding party, but involved their family. Having them wear the same colors and walk down the aisle. The best wedding days are not filled with just beautiful details but amazing people, these are the people they adore most. Loved ones that they want to include in one of the most important days of their lives.
It’s not a Madison wedding without a top at the State Capital Building before heading to the reception at The Boathouse at Edgewater. I have been to the dock of the Edgewater, but never in the Boathouse! But, man this place is beautiful! I can’t wait till next Summer to have dinner on the deck! It was a gloomy and blustery day, but the lake was still beautiful!
